First Quarterly Meeting of 2015

  • February 10, 2015
  • 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • JECC, 2011 D Commerce Park Drive, Annapolis, MD 21401

Play the Game of Conflict with Vicki and Dusty Rhoades, a fun and unique way to explore the nature of conflict.

We'll move through the game board, experiencing conflict as a crisis in human interaction and discussing the ways we may help people regain inner strength and connection with one another to create a path forward.  Along the way, we'll examine the core tenets that inform our practice as mediators.

Vicki and Dusty Rhoades have been mediators and conflict transformation trainers since 2001.  They have conducted hundreds of mediations in a variety of situations, including small claims and peace orders at the District Court, Maryland Commission on Civil Rights discrimination cases, Child in Need of Assistance (CINA)) and Parenting Plan cases for the Circuit Court, as well as a variety of other family and community issues.  For the past six years, they have served as facilitators for difficult community conversations in Southern Maryland.  They have been nationally credentialed by the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation as Certified Transformative Mediators.

RSVP Appreciated:  MCDR Quarterly Meetings are open to everyone.  There is no charge, and it is our pleasure to welcome newcomers to join us for an interesting evening of ADR education and networking.  For planning purposes, please RSVP to:  EdKetchen@yahoo.com

MCDR is the oldest membership-based organization in Maryland dedicated to promoting the use of mediation and supporting

the mediation profession.  We have a proud history of successfully advocating for allowing multiple professions to practice mediation,

halting attempts to restrict the practice some fifteen years ago.  MCDR is the first organization to establish performance based criteria

now in use as a national model, part of an ongoing dialogue on quality assurance and mediator credentials.
